I sat next to God today.
Right here, on the bench
in the park.
He quietly told me that
nothing really matters.
I wanted to ask about
life, but all
that came to mind was
"Why are you here?"
He gazed at the clear sky,
smiled and quietly said,
"It's meaningless."
How did he know?
"You gain and lose nothing.
Nothing but one piece
of humanity at a time."

The sanest people in this world are in the asylums: you have to be a little crazy to survive out in this crazy world.

Truthfully, I didn't entirely like the ending. First you say you lose nothing, then you say you lose something. Forgive me for sounding thick (I've a bad habit of taking things literally) but, that sounds mundo contradictory. Unless you mean Humanity isn't worth anything?

You lose nothing. You gain nothing. People give so much importance to money that humanity becomes nothing. It's not me who said that.
It's everyone that is a part of the pop-nation. It's everyone who's a part of the stupidity regimes. It's all those people that live for the money and not for being better or for the sake of higher knowledge.
They are the ones made humanity cheap. Not me.

I think the line about "live, but all" should be broken differently... it feels a little strange.
I think you could end it without the last few lines (after italics) as awesome as they are. ^_^
good stuff!
